Do Cats Like Sweets?
Sweets are beyond the cat's liking or disliking since they lack a "sense of taste." Cats are among
the fewest animals that do not have the proteins needed. The human taste bud is
composed of two proteins. Sadly, cats are limited to one. This implies that your cat's taste
perception of sweets is different from what most people associate with the word "sweet." They could taste
marshmallows like chicken, for instance. Why, therefore, would your cat attempt to chew on your candy or
ice cream? It's simply their curiosity to try something new. Or perhaps they just enjoy your food's aroma.
